In Germany, there is an investigation into the delivery of precision machinery to Russia in order to bypass EU sanctions.
The Munich Prosecutor’s Office and Customs Investigation Department are investigating alleged circumvention of sanctions by a machinery factory near Munich. Three employees of the factory are the defendants.
According to the investigation, over 20 precision machines worth approximately 5.5 million euros were intentionally supplied to Russia. During the investigation, it was discovered that exports went through Poland, Belarus, and Uzbekistan before reaching Russia. The equipment may have been supplied through Turkey or China.
The investigation began with a report by ARTE TV on January 1, describing how a German company continued to sell precision machinery to Russian customers through third countries despite current European sanctions, sometimes using forged documents.
At the same time, the Munich Customs Investigation Department received an anonymous complaint regarding this.
