Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions on individuals associated with Russia twice this week.
On May 2, he signed Decree No. 358/2026, imposing sanctions on five individuals, including Mikhail Mamiashvili (Михаил Мамиашвили), an Olympic champion and the President of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR). The sanctions also target Andrii Bohdan (Богдан Андрій Йосипович), a Ukrainian lawyer, Bohdan Pukish (Пукіш Богдан Степанович), a Ukrainian businessman and associate of politician Viktor Medvedchuk, and Alan Kiryukhin (Кирюхин Алан Валерьевич), a Russian businessman whom Ukraine considers to be the key manager of the A7A5 payment system, which is used to circumvent sanctions. The sanctions are imposed for a period of 10 years.
Prior to this, on April 29, Zelenskyy signed Decree No. 352/2026, imposing sanctions on Belarusian enterprises and individuals “close to the self-proclaimed President of Belarus” Alexander Lukashenko. This sanctions package includes 16 Belarusian citizens and 11 legal entities. Among the individuals are Viktor and Dmitry Lukashenko, the sons of the Belarusian president. Ukrainian authorities consider them to be involved in the export of products that circumvent international sanctions.
Ukraine has also imposed sanctions on Belarusian enterprises that produce 122 mm and 152 mm artillery shells for the Russian army. These include Olsa, the Minsk Thermoplast Plant, and the Kovalsky Heavy Stamping Plant, which produce parts for shells. Additionally, Ukraine has imposed sanctions on a plant that repairs Russian Tu and Il aircraft.
