Poland has imposed sanctions on a Russian defense industry supplier.
The Polish authorities have added two companies to the sanctions list: the local Alliance capital KS Sp. z o.o. and the Uzbek company Chemistry international MchJ.
The companies are associated with one person, Rustam Muminov.
Alliance capital is the majority shareholder of Chemistry international. In the period from November 9, 2021 to July 8, 2025, the main shareholder of the Polish company was Rustam Muminov, now the beneficial owner is Russian Victoria Bonkovska.
According to the Polish Interior Ministry, Rustam Muminov controls about 85% of Uzbekistan’s cotton pulp exports to the Russian Federation. Rustam Muminov’s factories also supply cellulose (cotton cellulose is used to make smokeless gunpowder, which is then converted into nitrocellulose) to Russian ammunition manufacturers.
Rustam Muminov has already been sanctioned by several countries, including Ukraine, the European Union, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
