Is Lukashenko’s companion’s business jet stuck in Moscow?

The materials of the arbitration court of the capital of Russia revealed a case about an airplane stuck in Moscow due to EU sanctions. The Moscow STI LLC* appealed to the court, which demanded that Silvershore Trading Ltd, a company registered on the Isle of Man, pay expenses in the amount of 107.53 million rubles and remuneration of 10.75 million.

According to the court’s materials, since 2023, STI has been storing and maintaining the Embraer ERJ-135BJ Legacy business aircraft owned by Silvershore Trading Ltd. The court’s materials say: “The actions were carried out without instructions, in conditions where it was impossible to conclude a contract and make payments by the defendant due to sanctions restrictions imposed by the European Union and the United Kingdom. The plaintiff believes that his actions prevented the complete loss of airworthiness and degradation of an expensive asset.”

After reviewing the case, the court sided with STI and decided to recover a total of more than 118 million rubles from Silvershore Trading Ltd.
