Kazakhstan’s cryptocurrency exchange ATAIX Eurasia has asked Russian users to close their accounts by December 15 this year.
The company said it could no longer provide services to Russians due to EU sanctions. The ban applies to Russian citizens, persons living there, and legal entities registered in the Russian Federation.
“Our users who are subject to restrictions should take all necessary measures to close their account and withdraw funds,” ATIX said in a statement.
ATAIX is a centralized cryptocurrency trading and digital asset exchange platform. The platform supports both crypto-to-crypto and fiat-to-crypto conversion and charges a miniscule trading fee on each transaction.
ATAIX EURASIA operates in accordance with AIFC licenses:
• A license of the AIFC (Market Activities License) for the organization of trading of digital assets;
• Authorized market participant (License for carrying on regulated activities)
