The Lithuanian customs authorities fined 13 million euros for violating sanctions

The Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania has announced a fine of 13 million euros that has been imposed on a local company for violations of sanctions.

The company, which exports vehicles, was fined 13,618,175 euros for transactions with entities from Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. The company did not comply with the restrictions and obligations imposed by international sanctions in Lithuania. As a result, the transportation of the vehicles was considered a violation of these sanctions.

In addition to the fine, the company’s six semi-trailers have been detained and confiscated by the customs authorities.
