China imposes sanctions on US companies over their arms shipments to Taiwan

China has imposed sanctions on nine US companies over their arms shipments to Taiwan.

“The United States recently announced the sale of weapons to the Taiwan region, which is a serious violation of the one-China policy,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China said.

The sanctions prevent Chinese citizens and companies from cooperating with US companies. The sanctions took effect on September 18.

These companies were sanctioned: Sierra Nevada Corporation, Stick Rudder Enterprises LLC, Cubic Corporation, S3 Aero Defense, TCOM, Limited Partnership, TextOre, Planate Management Group, ACT1 Federal, Exovera.

Companies that are sanctioned by the PRC are actively developing. For example, Sierra Nevada in August received a contract worth $991.3 million to supply aerial reconnaissance aircraft for the US Army. These aircraft will be based on Bombardier Global 6500.
