EU renews its terrorist list

The Council of the European Union decided to renew the list of persons, groups, and entities subject to restrictive measures aimed at combating terrorism.

Currently, there are 14 individuals and 22 groups or entities subject to these measures, which include the freezing of funds, financial assets, or economic resources within EU member states, as well as prohibiting EU operators from providing funds or economic support to those listed.

The current EU terrorist list includes groups such as Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, Hamas, and Hizballah’s military wing.

All individuals, groups, or entities on this list are subject to restrictions related to the freezing of assets, police and judicial cooperation in criminal matters.
