OFSI fined a subsidiary of the American technology company Apple Inc

On 19 March 2026, the Office for the Implementation of Financial Sanctions (“OFSI”), part of Her Majesty’s Treasury, imposed a fine on Apple Distribution International Limited (“ADI”), an entity incorporated in the Republic of Ireland and a subsidiary of the US technology company Apple Inc.

OFSI has imposed a fine for violating sanctions against Russia.

ADI has instructed the British bank to make two payments (one in June 2022 and the other in July 2022) totaling 635,618.75 pounds to Russian LLC Okko. Okko is a Russian streaming service that, as of 2023, ranked fourth among Russian online cinemas in terms of subscribers.

On October 4, 2022, ADI voluntarily informed OFSI about the payments in this case, as well as other similar payments that occurred on different dates. On March 19, 2026, a settlement agreement was reached, and OFSI imposed a monetary fine. in the amount of 390,000 pounds.
