Poland imposes sanctions on companies linked to Russian billionaire Boyko

Poland has imposed new sanctions against companies linked to Russian billionaire Oleg Boyko.

The Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration added Aurasol AG, a Swiss-registered company, and 4finance Holding s.a., a Luxembourg-registered company, to the country’s sanctions list. According to the Polish authorities, both companies are indirectly influenced by the structures of Russian businessman Oleg Boyko (PL – Oleg Bojko).

“Boyko was born on September 28, 1964 in Moscow, a Russian billionaire who has been on the list of the 100 richest Russians for many years. Boyko owns one of the largest investment groups in Russia, Finstar Financial Group. Through it, he controls a network of subsidiaries in many European countries (including Vivus Finance LLC in Poland until 2022) and in Latin America. He currently manages assets worth $1.2 billion (according to Forbes), and his business activities are focused on short-term loans, real estate and gambling,” stated the Ministry.

In 2021, Finstar Financial Group acquired SIAB Bank in the Russian city of St. Petersburg. In 2023, SIAB Bank changed its name to Finstar Bank.

This is not the first time Poland has attacked Oleg Boyko’s companies and him with sanctions. In December 2024, Poland imposed sanctions on the billionaire himself and, earlier in September, sanctions were imposed on Bastorehill Investments which was suspected of having links to the businessman.
