Poland sanctions the operator of the Bynex crypto exchange

Poland has imposed sanctions against the operator of the Bynex crypto exchange/

ERPBEL LLC (ООО «Эрпбел»), registered in Belarus, is included in the Polish sanctions list. This company is the operator of the Bynex crypto exchange.

The Bynex website says that it provides the possibility of transactions with various cryptocurrencies, including BTC and ETH.

“In 2021, Erpbel LLC entered into a key partnership with Belarusbank, the largest state-owned bank in Belarus, as part of the bank’s digital transformation program. … This cooperation allowed the Bynex cryptocurrency exchange to process fiat currencies such as rubles and US dollars using VISA cards,” the Ministry of the Interior and Administration of Poland said.

Erpbel LLC has been a resident of the Minsk Hi-Tech Park since 2008.

The Ministry of the Interior and Administration of Poland stated that due to economic, organizational and personal ties, the activities of the Erpbel legal entity pose a real risk of using it to circumvent existing international sanctions, as well as to finance or support the activities of state bodies of the Republic of Belarus, including in the context of supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine.
