Sanctions have deprived Russian deputies of the possibility to vote electronically.
Sanctions imposed on Russia have created a funny situation in Tomsk.
The head of city parliament told deputies that they could not fix the broken voting equipment due to sanctions.
“Today, we are also using voting cards. However, sanctions prevent us from fixing our voting system – there are no necessary materials available. We cannot make these boards or flash them because we’re subject to sanctions,” said Sergei Sechenov, head of Tomsk parliament.
Deputies had to count votes manually at parliament meetings.
