UK removed a daughter of a prominent Russian businessman from the sanctions list

The British government has removed Tatiana Evtushenkova, the daughter of Vladimir Evtushenkov, a prominent Russian businessman, from the sanctions list.

Tatiana Evtushenkova was sanctioned in 2023. The justification for the sanctions stated: “Tatiana Evtushenkova is (1) is acting on behalf of Vladimir Evtushenkov and (2) is associated with Vladimir Evtushenkov. Vladimir Evtushenkov is a prominent Russian Businessman. Vladimir Evtushenkov is or has been involved in obtaining a benefit from or supporting the Government of Russia by virtue of his ownership of Sistema JSFC*, a conglomerate which has business interests in the Russian energy and information, communications and digital technologies sectors, which are sectors of strategic significance to the Government of Russia.”

The documents also indicate that Tatiana Evtushenkova has three nationalities: Russia, UK, and Luxembourg.

In the UK, Tatiana Evtushenkova, according to the register of companies, holds more than 75% of Redline Capital and was previously its director. Prior to that, Vladimir Evtushenkov controlled the company.

* Sistema Public Joint Stock Financial Corporation is a Russian investment company founded in 1993 by Vladimir Yevtushenkov. Forbes estimates Vladir Yevtushenkov’s fortune at $1.7 billion.
