Volodymyr Zelenskyy imposes new sanctions on companies from Russia, China, and Iran

The President of Ukraine imposed new sanctions on companies from Russia, China, and Iran, as well as on individuals.

On May 9th, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decree No.301/2025, which introduced personal economic sanctions against 58 individuals, including the heads and co-owners of companies in Russia. Appendix No.1 to this decree lists these individuals.

Appendix No 2 contains information about the 74 companies sanctioned by the Ukrainian government, including:

  • Joint-Stock Company IIC “Finval (equipment for factories),
  • Joint-Stock Company Optical Mechanical Design Bureau Astron (thermal imaging optics),
  • Samara Metallurgical Plant (largest producer of aluminum semi-finished products).

Also on the list are three companies from Iran: Alvand Motor Building Industries Company, Bonyan Danesh Shahr, and Pishro Sanat Asheman Sharif. There is also a company from China, Smart Kit Technology Limited, and a company based in Belarus, Joint Limited Liability Company Izotek-M.
