The European Commissioner for Economy and Productivity, Valdis Dombrovskis, answered a journalist’s question about whether the EU would ease sanctions if US President Donald Trump did so.
According to the commissioner, the policy on sanctions against Russia must be independent.
Additionally, Valdis Dombrovskis said that work was currently underway to prepare a 16th set of EU sanctions against Russia.
