The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has imposed sanctions on his former colleague, Tymur Mindych.
The decree, No. 843/2025, was signed by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and it imposes sanctions on Ukrainian businessman and co-owner of Kvartal 95 (the Kvartal 95 company produces shows and entertainment TV shows. Vladimir Zelensky participated in the company’s projects), Tymur Mindych, as well as his friend and business partner, Oleksandr Tsukerman, both of whom are Israeli citizens.
Tymur Mindych, an associate of Zelenskyy’s, has become a defendant in a case involving corruption in the energy sector. Tsukerman is also involved in this case.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), announced on November 10 that they were conducting a large-scale operation in the energy industry. They published photos on their Telegram channel showing bags full of cash found during the operation.
According to the NABU, members of a high-level criminal organization built a large-scale corruption scheme at Energoatom, a state-owned enterprise that manages three Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
Mindych managed to leave Ukraine a few hours before searches took place in his home on November 10.
