Zelenskyy imposes new sanctions on Russian entities and former adviser

On May 1, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed three decrees imposing sanctions.

Decree No. 267/2025 imposed sanctions against 9 individuals, including the former advisor to the head of the Office of the President, Alexey Arestovich. It also imposed sanctions on the founder of the Russian journalist, Anastasia Kashevarova, and Ukrainian blogger, Miroslav Oleshko.

According to Decree No. 268/2025, sanctions were imposed on 6 individuals and 36 legal entities. Among them are Alexey Likhachev, the head of the Russian state corporation Rosatom, Novatek PJSC (the largest independent producer of natural gas in Russia), Arctic LNG 1 LLC, Yamal LNG OJSC.

Decree number 269 imposed sanctions on 61 people and 45 entities registered as charities and volunteer foundations.
