Canada has imposed sanctions on 4 individuals who supported Hamas

The Canadian government has imposed sanctions on who are a part of Iran’s so-called “Axis of Resistance.” These individuals have provided support through military training and resources to Hamas which made horrific terrorist attack against Israel
on October 7, 2023.

These individuals are:

  • Khaled Qaddoumi (Hamas);
  • Ali Morshed Shirazi (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps [IRGC] Al-Quds Force);
  • Mostafa Mohammad Khani (IRGC Al-Quds Force);
  • Ali Ahmad Faizullahi (IRGC Al-Quds Force).

On October 7, 2023, Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups launched coordinated armed attacks from the Gaza Strip into the Gaza envelope of southern Israel. In total, the attackers killed 1,139 people, including 695 Israeli civilians, 71 foreign nationals, and 373 security forces members. Canada has listed Hamas as a terrorist organization under the Criminal Code since 2002.
