Kyrgyz MBANK suspends money transfers through Russian banks

“We inform you that, since August 16, 2024, money transfers via Russian banks, including Sberbank, Tinkoff, and MTS have been suspended both ways. This service will be temporarily unavailable indefinitely. Inbound transfers will be processed through banks not subject to sanctions using ruble accounts. If there are any changes, we will notify you separately,” the Kyrgyz MBANK said in a statement.

MBANK – Commercial Bank of KYRGYZSTAN JSC traces its roots back to January 1, 1988. At present, the bank serves over a million private customers and 20,000 businesses in Kyrgyzstan.”

In February 2022, Russia’s Central Bank accredited the bank’s representative office in Moscow.

As of December 31st 2019, the company employed 2862 people. According to its annual report, about 97 percent of its capital is owned by A.T. Babanova.
