Poland has put two companies on the sanction list for ties with the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Russia. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration of the Republic of Poland added a company from Belarus, NFT LLC, and a local company, EAST-EUROPEAN PIPELINE HUB sp. z o., to the sanctions list.
According to the ministry, NFT LLC provides a mixture of urea and ammonium nitrate in aqueous or ammonia solutions, but it is not a producer of these products. The ministry suspects that the company resells carbamide and ammonium sulfate, which are manufactured by the Grodno Azot company, which has been sanctioned by the EU since 2018. It is one of the largest chemical companies in Belarus and plays a key role in the production of nitrogen fertilizer. NFT LLC is based in the Belarusian town of Koptevka.
The EAST-EUROPEAN PIPELINE HUB, sp. z. o. Polish authorities suspect the supply of machine tools produced in Italy and Germany to Russia. The importation of such machines into Russia is prohibited under EU sanctions.
