South Korea imposes sanctions on Russians because of their military cooperation with North Korea.
The South Korean government has announced sanctions against 11 people and 15 organizations involved in illegal military cooperation between Russia and North Korea in violation of numerous UN Security Council resolutions, as well as North Korea’s financing of nuclear and missile technology and procurement of materials, the objects of independent sanctions against North Korea.
Among those sanctioned are North Korean generals Kim Yong Bok, Shin Geum Chol, missile weapons specialist Lee Song Jin and Lee Bong Chun, the head of the assault corps.
There are Russian citizens on the list. Among them, Rafael Anatolyevich Gazaryan, Rafort LLC, which he represents, and Trans Capital LLC, according to South Korea, provided material, financial and technical support in the process of trading Russian weapons.
Alexey Budnev and Technology Co., Ltd., according to South Korea, transported North Korean military communications equipment to support the Russian military, and Pavel Pavlovich Shevelin, a member of the Wagner group, was engaged in transporting weapons. Roman Anatolyevich Alar and PARSEK LLC, which he represents, supplied key missile materials and technologies to North Korea. Igor Alexandrovich Michurin and Ardis-Bearings LLC, which he manages, supported the nuclear and missile development of North Korea.
The list also includes several Russian banks: MRB Bank, TSMR Bank, RFK Bank, which, according to South Korea, were involved in illegal financial transactions between Russia and North Korea.
