US imposes sanctions on Iran’s “shadow fleet”

The United States has imposed sanctions on Iran’s “shadow fleet”, designating 35 organizations and vessels that transport Iranian oil.

Companies operating tankers from different countries have been sanctioned, including Galileos Marine Services LLC from the UAE, Ocean Glory Giant OGG SA from Panama, Gaffodil Co., and Ceres Shipping Limited from Hong Kong, Indian Vision Ship Management LLP, Tightship Shipping Management (OPC) Limited, Lufindo Holdings Limited registered in Seychelles, Constellation Maritime Services Limited registered in Liberia, Shanghai Legendary Ship Management Company Limited based in China and Shanghai Future Ship management Co. Ltd. registered in the Cayman Islands, Eunomia Ltd., registered in Yurimaguas, Ltd. in the Marshall Islands.

“Petroleum revenues provide the Iranian regime with the resources to fund its nuclear program, develop advanced drones and missiles, and provide ongoing financial and material support for the terrorist activities of its regional proxies,” said the US Treasury Department in a statement.
