The New Zealand government approved a new sanctions package against Russia.
“Increasingly sophisticated methods are being used in the effort to evade sanctions. By targeting evasion methods, the Government is contributing to the robustness of the sanctions system,” said Foreign Minister Winston Peters.
New Zealand has imposed sanctions on 61 Russian individuals and entities, including those involved in sanctions evasion procurement networks. These designations include entities procuring technology for Russia’s defence industry and senior leaders of certain Russian banks.
These include:
- VINOKUROV Vladimir Nikolaevich, First Vice President of the Board of Directors of Gazprombank JSC;
- POPOVICH Aleksei Valeryevich, First Vice President of the Board of Directors of Gazprombank JSC;
- KAPLUNNIK Irina Aleksandrovna, First Vice President of the Board of Directors of Gazprombank JSC;
- KAMYSHEV Denis Valentinovich, First Vice President of the Board of Directors of Gazprombank JSC;
- ZLATKIS Bella Ilyinichna, Deputy Chair of Sberbank’s Executive Board. Member of Sberbank’s Supervisory Board;
- PECHATNIKOV Anatolii Yuryevich, Deputy President and Chair of the Management Board of VTB Bank;
- LUKYANENKO Valery Vacilyevich, Deputy President and Chair of the Management Board of VTB Bank;
- DERGUNOVA Olga Konstantinovna, Deputy President and Chair of the Management Board of VTB Bank.
