The government of New Zealand has imposed new sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
The new sanctions affect four Russian individuals and ten Russian entities providing material or strategic support for Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, and three Iranian individuals and two Iranian entities providing direct military support to Russia through the production and supply of drones for use in its unjustified and illegal invasion of Ukraine.
The main hit of the new sanctions is on Russian Gunpowder Plants which are located in cities Tambov and Tula – Tambov Gunpowder Plant, Imperial Tula Arms Plant, and Tula Cartridge Works.
Tambov Gunpowder Plant produces more than 200 types of products, including pyroxylin powder for arms, hand grenades and grenade launchers, artillery and mortar ammunition. Imperial Tula Arms Plant produces guided missiles of various modifications for the Kornet and Konkurs-M complexes, as well as components of other products. The range of military rifle products includes submachine guns and sniper rifles.

- Aleksey Gennadievich Dubonosov, General Director of the FSE Tambov Gunpowder Plant;
- Sergey Anatolyevich Lukin, General Director of JSC Tula Cartridge Works;
- FSE Tambov Gunpowder Plant;
- Joint Stock Company Tula Machine Building Plant;
- Joint Stock Company Voskresensky Aggregation Factory;
- JSC NPO PRIBOR;
- JSC Tula Cartridge Works;
- Public Joint Stock Company Imperial Tula Arms Plant;
- Aleksey Viktorovich Budnev, involved in the procurement of DPRK communications equipment for supply to Russia;
- Rafael Anatolyevich Gazaryan, involved in the procurement of DPRK munitions for supply to Russia;
- Dunay Probable Naval Missile Facility;
- Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company LLC;
- Abbas Abdi Asjerd, Senior official of several Iranian entities involved in the manufcature and supply of UAVs to Russia;
- Ehsan Rahat Varnosfadrani, Chief scientist and former CEO of Shakad Sanat Asmari Company;
- Seyed Mohsen Vahabzadeh Moghadam, Senior official of several Iranian entities involved in the manufcature and supply of UAVs to Russia;
- Alvand Motorbuilding Industries Company;
- Bonyan Danesh Shargh;
- Pishro Sanat Aseman Sharif Company;
- Saad Sazeh Faraz Sharif Company.
