Lithuanian customs introduces enhanced control over dual-use goods from the EU

The Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania reported that from November 11, 2024, it will introduce enhanced controls over the transportation of dual-use goods from the European Union to Belarus and then to Russia.

Customs officials will physically inspect these goods and special attention will be paid to the export of electronic goods, such as chips and microchips, as well as other components. Sanctions on goods, including medical and diagnostic equipment, will be subject to stricter controls.
