The government of Belarus has extended the ban on the import and sale of Skoda and Nivea until the end of 2025.
The resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 933 officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal states that the ban will be extended until December 31st, 2025, inclusive. It also orders the relevant ministries and agencies to take necessary measures to enforce the resolution. The decree will come into force on January 1st, 2025.
The ban on the import and sale of goods from countries that have imposed sanctions on Belarusian companies or individuals, was introduced in 2021. This list includes products from Liqui Moly, Skoda Auto, and Beiersdorf (which owns Hansaplast, Labello, and Nivea).
The import ban does not apply to personal use goods or vehicles registered in member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, or temporarily imported to its customs territory for personal use.
