New Zealand has lifted sanctions against the Russian businessman Alexander Abramov, the former head of Evraz, a mining and metallurgical company, and members of his family.
A message about the lifting of the sanctions was published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sanctions against Alexander Abramov were imposed in 2022, and he is included in Forbes’ list of billionaires with a fortune estimated at $6.4 billion.
The Evraz Group is a large steel producer and mining company.
