Russia may have problems with drinking water due to sanctions

In the documents of the Russian company, JSC Rostovvodokanal, there was a statement indicating possible problems with water supply.

“Under the conditions of pressure from unfriendly foreign countries related to a special military operation in Ukraine, JSC Rostovvodokanal faces risks that could affect the provision of continuous and high-quality water and sanitation services,” said the official note in the financial report of JSC Rostovvodokanal.

JSC Rostovvodokanal is the largest utility company in southern Russia. It provides water services to residents in several cities, including Rostov and Bataysk. Each day, it takes up to 500 thousand cubic meters of water from the Don River, and its water distribution network covers 2.9 thousand kilometers.

After the data from the company’s report was published in the media, JSC Rostovvodokanal said that “this information is not true and is false.” However, the company has not provided any further details.
