Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on Russian metallurgical companies

On July 27, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed decree No. 555/2025 imposing sanctions on individuals and entities from Russia. This includes sanctions on 45 individuals and 50 companies involved in alloy production and metalworking.

The sanctions affected 45 individuals and 50 companies. Among them:

  • JSC EVRAZ United West Siberian Metallurgical Combine, which is the fifthlargest metallurgical plant in Russia.
  • JCS “Moscow Plant for Processing Special Alloys”, which by decree of the government of the Russian Federation was included in the list of Russian organizations authorized to conduct refining (the metallurgical process of purifying metals from impurities) of precious metal.
  • Gazpromneft Lubricants, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, specializing in production and sales of oils, greases and technical fluids, with an annual total production volume of 600,000 tons.
  • St Petersburg Precision Alloys, the only company in the Russian federation providing a full cycle of alloy manufacturing, from smelting raw materials to producing finished products up to several microns thick.
  • Central Scientific Research Institute named after I.P. Bardin for Ferrous Metallurgy. It is a leading research center in Russia for the development of metallurgical technologies and materials.
