Suppliers of Russian weapons manufacturers detained in Germany

Several people suspected of violating sanctions and supplying equipment to Russian arms manufacturers have been arrested in Germany.

According to the prosecutor’s office, Artem I., a citizen of Germany and Ukraine, Boris M., Evgeny R., and Nikita S., a citizen of Germany and Russia, were arrested. Daniel A., a citizen of Germany and Russia, was also detained.

Nikita S. is the sole shareholder and managing director of a trading company based in Lubeck. He and other defendants repeatedly used the company to purchase goods and supply them to Russia.

According to the investigation, the accused organized about 16,000 shipments to Russia. The total value of the illegal transactions is at least 30 million euros. The recipients of the goods included at least 24 arms manufacturers in Russia.
